MBBS in china for international students

China is the most populated country in the world and one of the most extensive. This is a typical case where more than a country, it is a separate world in itself. In recent years, China has become one of the countries that welcomes the most foreign students and aspires to become the world leader in the coming years. We are far from the decade of the 50s of the last century, when the first 33 foreign students arrived in China. Currently, about 400,000 young people go to the Asian giant each year for study purposes and the government has proposed to reach 500,000 by 2020. International students come from more than 200 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Thailand, India and Russia. Young people who come to China for training mainly opt for diplomas related to the Asian country, such as language, culture, history, traditional medicine … Although they have begun in recent years to register in other specialties related to scientific research and engineering. China will agree to give permission to international students for admission in Chinese universities and allow them to do work part-time while studying to make the country’s higher education system more attractive, the Ministry of Education said in a statement sent exclusively to the China Daily.

Chinese medical education system

Chinese medical education aims to train professionals in an area of growing demand, where useful and inexpensive therapeutic methods and techniques are needed for the treatment of diseases. Its theoretical system is mainly based on the principles: yin and yang, theory of the five elements, chi energy, pathology, in the observation of natural phenomena and the functioning of the human body, to explain the physiology and pathology of the body human, applying these principles to treat diseases and maintain health through prevention.

Medical education in China

The current system of medical education in China is strongly influenced by Western medical education systems that take up some elements of the Old Russian model and have been developed in the Chinese educational tradition. This unique system has been dynamically developed in recent years. Until 1999, the faculties of medicine were medical universities or free medical schools, 11 of which were directly under the Ministry of Health. The rest of the medical institutions depended directly or indirectly on the Ministry of Education, through the provincial or autonomous departments of education. Physician training in China takes place in schools or medical schools, where there are two types of programs: a 3-year certificate program and a 5, 7 and 8-year title program. 185 medical institutions, 9 develop an 8-year program that ends with a degree (medical degree) 43, develop a 7-year program leading to a master’s degree in medicine, 15 develop a 5-year program that “Bachelor” in medicine , and finally 20 faculties develop a 3-year program that gives a certificate of associate certificate in medicine. This diversity of educational programs meets different national, regional and local needs. Since 2000, 63 medical schools were incorporated into the so-called “Comprehensive Universities”, which meant incorporating Medical Universities into non-medical Universities. The main objective was to concentrate investment in a few institutions with the hope of establishing the “working class universities” where interdisciplinary research and education would flourish. Among them, 10 medical institutions out of 11, previously depended on the Ministry of Health. All of them are currently directly or indirectly dependent on the Ministry of Education, except the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) which is still under the Ministry of Health. In the last two decades of the twentieth century, several curricular innovations have been carried out at the faculties. These faculties have incorporated in their curricula the principles of integrated teaching, the subjects on humanistic, ethical and social aspects, computer science and knowledge of English. They have also placed emphasis on working in small tutor groups, in the acquisition of problem-solving skills, in the doctor-patient relationship and in the acquisition of attitudes that foster lifelong learning. The current challenge for both the government and the Medical Schools is to improve the quality of medical education, in order to train qualified personnel that can adapt to the rapid changes in medical practice and the needs of the Chinese people. Its theoretical teaching system is based mainly on the observation of natural phenomena and knowledge of the fundamental laws according to which, these would govern the functioning of the human organism and its interaction with the environment, following the cycles of nature. Seeking in such a way to apply this understanding to the treatment of diseases and the maintenance of health with various methods of treatments; also in the knowledge about the entrails, the channels and collaterals, the qi, the blood, the corporal essence and the cause of the diseases and the pathology. The Higher Studies of Chinese Medicine of the University of Beijing, Guangzhou, and Yunnan are structured in four academic theoretical-practical periods. The Program of studies includes the following subject: In the first and second academic period the following subjects are taught: Anatomy, Physiology, Etiopathogeny, Shared Humanist Theories, Basic Theory I and II ,Health Sciences I, II, III and IV, Differentiation of Syndromes, Diagnosis, Auriculotherapy, Meridians and Points I, and II, Acupunctural Techniques I and II, Internal Medicine. Treatments of Acupuncture I and II, in which the student is provided with the fundamental bases for the assimilation of the concepts and development of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques

Duration of medical courses at the Chinese Medical School

Do not leave easily. To be truly successful, it takes hard work, sweat and determination to truly lead the battle that leads to success. But to succeed, you need work and determination. Some might take a year or two to reach their goals.

Not everyone will be interested in studying medicine because of its duration. In all countries, the duration of the study of medicine varies greatly.

Take the example of China, where education based in the West has evolved since the nineteenth century. There are currently more than 900 medical academics in China, most of them accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO). Of these, most universities admit foreign students for the average MBBS English program.

The duration of MBBS also varies between 5 and 7 years in China and its school year starts in August or September. In medical schools, students normally spend four years at the baccalaureate and one year of internship either in gold or China, in a country of their choice. In this kind of duration, the whole race starts with Chinese to start improving communication between foreigners and locals. Students begin their major year from the first year to their final year, the fourth year, and then the fifth year of the internship.

Most medical universities in China like my school. The teaching of medicine usually lasts five years, including a one-year internship, in China or any other country of choice. Usually, under this particular term, for the first year, students are expected to learn Mandarin Chinese for a full year, until the second year, when they are Caucasian. From the second to the fifth year, students must acquire basic science and preventive medicine, as well as certain clinical skills. Own. The fourth year normally includes clinical sciences. Grade 6 students are expected to do either their internship in China or their country before they are white. Their medical certificate allows them to work as a doctor all over the world.

  • Very few medical schools have a 7-year medical training period. 6 years of apprenticeship followed by a one-year internship.
  • In addition to MBBS as a Medical AVC, some medical schools offer other medical courses such as the Bachelor of Pharmacy. (This degree achieves knowledge in pharmacy with a duration of 4 years)
  • Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery (professional program in dentistry lasting 4 years).
  • Sc Nursing (this program aims to produce quality nurses with duration of 4 years).

After graduating from medical school, some may prefer to work as a doctor. Each specialty also has its own duration. For example in oncology, the study of the tumour lasts three years and so on.

The journey to become a doctor is really a difficult journey. Although the number of years spent varies by country and school, a good doctor should be able to use the period or years used to obtain medical knowledge in order to save lives. It does not really matter to you; it has to do with hard work and perseverance.

Why choose MBBS in China?

In recent years, we have received numerous inquiries regarding MBBS study options at Chinese universities. In the United States, for example, you must first obtain a bachelor’s degree (usually in the natural sciences) before you can join a medical school, which gives you a higher degree. There is no license or master’s degree in MBBS applied in China; however, there is a doctorate in medicine. Unlike other countries (such as the United States), students in China can enter a medical school immediately after completing their second cycle of high school (i.e., 12 years or 13 years condition that their excellent grades make them eligible. Candidates from outside the EU usually have to take a one-year “intermediate course” (called “M-Kurs”) from selected universities to narrow the gap between the Chinese Baccalaureate (“Abitur”) and graduation certificates from other countries. So, before anyone thinks of studying MBBS in China, one must first ask if he is willing to invest a lot of time and energy in learning simple language. Many have done so and the benefits are considerable. The level of medical education in China is high (just like that of medical technology), and trained doctors in China are welcome wherever they go. Apart from this, medical degrees in China were also among the first to be recognized in India. For those who wish to stay after their studies, many opportunities are expected. The Chinese population is aging rapidly and some parts of the country are already experiencing a shortage of young doctors.
